PAPER TRACES by AMIR BEY
Scissoring paper is a quick way I work some ideas out, similar to sketching. It seems I always return to the face; so many shapes, sizes, and feelings are possible through it, whether it's an image, a mask or just making a face at someone. Some of these pieces were installed at the Happening held at Lorenzo Pace's loft on May 9, 2008 -See the Billy Bang Trio video in this issue of THE NEW TIMES HOLLER! NOWSROOM

These masks were quick improvisations. I've cut and installed them during performances. Please click here or on the photo to view the video. 1'39"
